Pastaria in Hamburg

If you want to eat the best pizza in Hamburg, you should go straight to Barmbek in the Pastaria. Thin, juicy dough, crispy on the edge, generously topped. I love the varied vegetarian variant with olives, onions, dried / fresh tomatoes, zucchini, artichokes, mushrooms and FRESH spinach. There is always a choice, never the same BUT always equally good. I've been a customer for years now and the pizza wasn't a single complaint. You have to do that first. The Vitello Tonnato is delicious too. I can't say anything about pasta, I always eat pizza here. Thanks!!!

Small restaurant with a manageable menu. Open kitchen so you can see what is being cooked. The service was friendly, but not excessive. Very nice. The pizza isn't from a brick oven, but I wouldn't expect that for the price either. Pizza and pasta are adapted to the "German palate" and, for my taste, delicious. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here. A little too cheap. Everything is Corona-compliant! Toilets are very well maintained. Unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs due to the building. But a nice outside area, which is covered and at least partially heated. There is something to be found ...

That was the worst lasagna I've ever eaten. The drinks weren't cold and sparkling. The cocoa was a thin, disgusting broth. The prices correspond to the quality. Low prices = simple below average food.

As always, the food was delicious. Unfortunately, the waiter had a bad day and wasn't particularly keen on his guests. You don't know that here otherwise.

Here you have a small selection of classic Italian dishes, which are difficult to beat in terms of price-performance. The lunch menu is prepared very quickly, the ambience simple but cozy.

Delicious dough, well-seasoned tomato sauce, tasty topping - the best classic Italian pizza I've had in Hamburg so far. Especially with this type of pizza, I find it difficult to find good restaurants. In addition, friendly and fast service and you have a nice experience.

Nice pizzeria ... you shouldn't expect excellent cuisine, but rather simple dishes. All meat dishes with turkey or beef. Pork is not offered. Service attentive and friendly.

Actually, it was the ratings that lured us here. But it wasn't quite as "great" as some of the articles read. At first - yes, the service leaves nothing to be desired. Unobtrusive, but quick, nice and friendly. Questions were answered immediately. Ambience - unfortunately everything was already reserved inside, but there was space in the heated winter garden and in retrospect probably even the better choice. The menu is clearly arranged, in addition there is a laminated, small menu with the "recommendation". These dishes of the recommendation are on average a little more expensive. Taste: there is nothing to complain about here. Strong but well balanced. But in total rather mainstream. You miss the kick of the real Italian a bit. Do you get full? Not necessarily - at least for me three small cannelloni are not a real meal. You can't avoid ordering another little something in addition. Drinks: We had a big bottle of water with the wine. For five euros we got a rather chubby-looking blue bottle, sparkling water without any special features, and matching quite chic glasses. The wine consultation was quite ok, considering the not too abundant offer this is not surprising. The chosen Chianti was in any case reasonably priced and despite its longstanding bad reputation it was really very good. Fruity, intense, pleasant tannins. Served in wonderfully large, stylish wine glasses. Price - per dish considered reasonable, but if you want to get full you have to order something extra. Seen in this light, the attractive price is quickly doubled. A thing I really missed - there is NO PORK at menue!

Nice little restaurant which is easily accessible. The owners are very friendly. The ambience is good. The pizza is big and tasty. The edge is nice and crispy. Unfortunately, mine was very greasy. The noodle portion also looked very good.

Note: they speak (I think) Italian and German, with enough English to get by. But I am an English speaker, so... I highly recommend this restaurant! Fast service, friendly servers who remember you the next time you come, and great food. The pizzas are delicious. I recommend sitting outside, in the covered area- great atmosphere. And the prices are super cheap!
